World MS Day 2020

30 May 2020

World MS is officially marked on 30th May. It brings the global MS community together to share stories, raise awareness and campaign with everyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). World MS Day activities take place throughout the month of May and in early June. The campaign offers flexibility for individuals and organisations to achieve a variety of goals.

This year, and for the next two years, the World MS Day theme is ‘connections’.

MS Connections is all about building community connection, self-connection and connections to quality care. We are challenging social barriers that leave people affected by MS feeling lonely and socially isolated. Together, we advocate for better services, celebrate support networks and champion self-care.’

This World MS Day, we at MS Academy want to share how we are connecting people with MS and healthcare professionals through our live webinars.

Right now, feeling connected is particularly challenging, with physical touch and regular interactions curbed through social distancing measures. However, we can still build community, and focus on connections to quality care.

Based on accurate, timely and person-centred information, and through building connections across those living with MS and those working hard to provide the best possible services and support for them, we are part of the global MS community this World MS Day 2020.
