Jody Barber

Head of integrated clinical services
Chiltern Multiple Sclerosis Centre.

Jody qualified in 1992 as a physiotherapist and has worked with neurological conditions for over 30 years. She has over 30 year’s experience working in the NHS and has worked in neurological teams at Northwick Park Hospital, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and West Hertfordshire Community Neurological Team. In these roles Jody has worked closely with patients with MS from initial diagnosis to advanced stages of the disease and Neuromuscular patients at consultant level. Jody has recently joined the charity sector, leading a multidisciplinary team with supporting people with MS to live well, she still has a clinical caseload in this role.

Jody is a member and Co-Chair of TiMS (Therapist’s Interested in MS, within the MS Trust).

In this TiMS role she is part of the education sub group and has been involved in organising and teaching on courses for therapists with an interest in developing more expertise in understanding how to help support people in living with MS.

She was the 2019 Winner in the Outstanding Physiotherapist category of the QUDOS award (sponsored by Pharmaphorum), recognising quality in the Delivery of services In MS.

She has a passion for exercise and enjoys running, swimming, cycling, skiing, yoga and tap dancing. She is a British Wheel of Yoga Qualified Teacher, and teaches anatomy on yoga teacher training courses.
